I Shall Call Her “Mini-Me”
I thought it might be fun to make some matching dresses for Guinevere and I.
No, absolutely not those kind of matching dresses. I made skater dresses.
Mine has 3/4 sleeves and hers has long sleeves, but we were cold so we didn’t take our jackets off for pictures. We were too busy trying to think of poses to really remember to show the dress sleeves anyway.
Since she likes to do ballet poses in her pictures, we decided to do ballet poses. Here’s 3rd position.
We also worked on teaching her the stereotypical blogger’s pose.
An hour or two after we did the photo-shoot, I realized that the neckline on her dress seemed high…she was wearing it backwards. Oops. I guess I need to start putting tags in her clothes.
And on a side note while looking for the most horrifying mother/daughter pattern option I could find to start off this post, I stumbled upon this gorgeous bit of vintage mother/daughter inspiration.
It is definitely getting colder outside. We were joined by Ace, dressed much more weather appropriately.
We’ll end with a shot of our best side(s).
I love them! You both pose divinely. I love a girly dress with boots and a denim jacket. You did terrify me tho- I was so afraid Id have to see the Daisy Kingdom travesties!
You guys look awesome!! I love it I was nervous about that first photo, too 😉
A Mini-me and a Minion! Love it! Beautiful job on the dresses!
Just adorable! You both look great in your dresses.
These are wonderful! I love them. You both look simply divine! (I used to make DK dresses for my girls… ages ago.. but never a mom/ daughter one!!!) ~Laurie
Very cool! You both look very nice. Your son’s hat is AMAzing! Did you make that?
Thanks. I did knit the hat quite a while ago. You can find the pattern on Ravelry as a free download. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/minion-hat
Oh my so cute!! Loving the blogger pose! ha!!
